Full-Time | Federally Regulated Professional Role

We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and experienced Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) to join a well-established and reputable insolvency practice. This role requires someone with deep knowledge of Canadian insolvency legislation, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to supporting individuals through challenging financial situations.

As an LIT, you are entrusted with the responsibility of administering Consumer Proposals and personal bankruptcies in accordance with federal regulations. Your ability to provide clear guidance, manage files with precision, and lead with empathy will play a key role in helping clients navigate their financial recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial consultations and sign-up appointments with individuals seeking debt relief.

  • Offer professional advice on Consumer Proposals, bankruptcies, and other debt resolution options.

  • Manage a caseload of active consumer proposal and bankruptcy files.

  • Liaise with clients, creditors, the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, and the courts.

  • Attend creditor meetings, court hearings, and file necessary reports.

  • Oversee and support a team of administrative professionals and junior insolvency staff.

  • Stay current on insolvency laws, regulations, and procedural updates.

  • Participate in the ongoing training and development of team members.

Requirements:
  • CIRP designation (Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional)

  • Licensed Insolvency Trustee designation, in good standing with the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • High degree of professionalism and discretion

  • Proficiency with insolvency systems and documentation processes

  • Commitment to client service and ethical standards
