About Urban Rec Victoria:
Urban Rec Victoria is seeking an outgoing, energetic, and motivated individual to join our team as a Sport Marketing Supervisor for a 9-week summer term. This dynamic role blends marketing, event delivery, and community engagement in the world of adult coed recreational sports.

Role Overview:
As a Sport Marketing Supervisor, you will promote and execute a variety of sport leagues and special events, including our largest summer tournament, Turf Burn, happening July 2527. This position is ideal for someone with a background or passion for sport, events, and marketing who thrives in a fast-paced, social, and community-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, promotion, and delivery of Urban Rec adult coed sport leagues and events.
  • Play a key role in the coordination and on-site execution of Turf Burn, our flagship summer event.
  • Create and schedule engaging social media content across Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms.
  • Work with external stakeholders including sponsors, vendors, venues, and league participants.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to project timelines and communications.
  • Support event logistics, including set-up/take-down (tents, tables, chairs, signage, equipment).
  • Help build the Urban Rec brand through authentic, fun, and community-focused engagement.

Qualifications & Assets:

  • Experience in marketing, communications, event coordination, or sport management.
  • Strong knowledge of social media best practices and content creation tools.
  • Experience in customer service or stakeholder engagement.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and in a team setting.
  • Basic knowledge or experience in project management is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Familiarity with ChatGPT or similar tools is an asset.
  • Must have access to a computer and be comfortable working virtually.
  • Comfortable with physical event work (lifting, setting up equipment, etc.).
  • Available to work some evenings and weekends, including Turf Burn (July 2527, 2025).
  • Preference given to candidates with experience playing or working in the sport sector and/or related post-secondary education.
