About Urban Rec Victoria:
Urban Rec Victoria is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Sport League & Event Coordinator for a 9-week summer term. If you have a passion for sports, enjoy engaging with people, and are eager to gain hands-on experience in event coordination and community engagement, this role is perfect for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and support the setup, organization, and delivery of Urban Rec sport leagues and events.
• Create and manage social media content to promote leagues and engage participants.
• Communicate professionally with participants, sponsors, vendors, and venues.
• Attend virtual team meetings and help track tasks and timelines.
• Assist with event setup and tear-down, including tents, tables, chairs, sports equipment, and signage.
• Represent Urban Rec on-site in a fun, welcoming, and positive manner.

Qualifications & Assets:

• Friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Experience in sport, recreation, customer service, or event coordination (volunteering counts!).
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Comfortable with physical tasks and being active during events.
• Access to a computer and ability to work virtually for some hours each week.
• Availability to work some evenings and weekends, including Turf Burn (July 2527, 2025).
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) is an asset.
• Bonus: Experience using ChatGPT or similar tools.
• Standard First Aid certification is a strong asset.
• Preference for candidates with experience in sports (as a player or volunteer) or related education.
