POSITION: Mobile Crane Operator

WAGE: Starting at $38/hour

JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is partnering with Centurion Canada Rentals and Services as they look for skilled Mobile Crane Operators to join their team. Centurion is an integrated supplier of equipment and services for critical industries. Their product lines include: mobile cranes, wastewater treatment systems and operations, accommodation, track hoe packages, power generation, communications, heavy equipment, and solar powered zero venting wellsite services. They service remote work camps, well sites, completion locations, and facilities in the Western Canada.
The Mobile Crane Operator must be able to lead and perform each essential duty and area of responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate mobile cranes to lift, move, position and place materials and equipment.
- Perform pre‐operational inspections.
- Perform worksite inspections.
- Complete Field Level Hazard Assessments and Hazard ID forms.
- Calculate crane capacities, determine load weight, set up, position, and stabilize the crane before the lift.
- Complete Critical Lift forms as required.
- Responsible for disassembling, traveling, and transporting mobile cranes.
- Complete hours of service logbooks.
- Participate in rigging procedures.
- Ability to complete some routine maintenance and housekeeping of the crane equipment such as lubricating and cleaning.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Class 1 Drivers License required with acceptable drivers abstract.
- Journeyman certification is considered an asset but all years of apprenticeship will be considered.
- A strong knowledge of cranes and oilfield experience is considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, mathematical ability, excellent visual and depth perception and a high degree of hand-foot-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in all-weather elements.
