Registered Nurse Practitioner (Hybrid)
0.8FTE (28 Hours/Week)
South-East Ottawa Community Health Centre (SEOCHC) is a non-profit, community-governed organization that provides a range of multi-disciplinary services to clients, including primary care, health promotion, social services, community and resource development, home support and advocacy to address the social determinants of health. SEOCHC particularly responds to persons who face barriers to accessing health and social services and who live in South-East Ottawa. Our services and programs are designed to meet the needs of our community.
Our Primary Care clinic is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to work as a member of the interprofessional primary care team, which includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, administrative staff, and allied health professionals. The NP will serve a roster of clients in collaboration with the interprofessional team, provide coverage for clients of other providers when on leave, support same day/urgent appointment requests, share on call duties, participate in interdisciplinary case reviews, and support clients in accessing services available across the centre
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate in Nursing and Diploma/Masters of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner)
- Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario Extended class
- Minimum two years experience as a nurse practitioner in a community or primary care setting; Experience in mental health an asset
- Strong clinical skills and diagnostic abilities: Performs medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultation and health education
- Previous experience working with culturally diverse and marginalized populations
- Knowledge and training in trauma-informed care, psychotherapy modalities, an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of the Community Health Centre model of health and well-being
- Ability to work independently and be self-directed
- Effective organizational, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt communication styles to meet the needs of clients, health team members and community partners
- Fluency in English; French and other languages an asset
- Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Proof of Vaccination against Covid-19 required
- Recent Police Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector required

Salary range: $61.73 to $72.64
