POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting various HR functions including HR process digitization, HR reporting, analytics and onboarding, HR process digitization, and HR reporting and analytics. This role is critical to improving HR efficiency and providing data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will also support the continuous improvement of HR processes and the development of the company's intranet as a valuable employee resource.

The HR Generalist's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

DESCRIPTION

HR Reporting and Analytics

  • Generate and analyze regular HR reports on key metrics, such as employee turnover, headcount, time-to-fill, and recruitment costs, to inform decision-making.
  • Track and report on HR-related KPIs, ensuring data accuracy and providing insights into workforce trends and performance.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve employee engagement, and overall HR operations.

HR Process Digitization & Process Mapping

  • Digitize key HR processes, including status changes, new hire requests, promotions, salary adjustments, and terminations.
  • Design user-friendly digital forms and workflows that enhance HR efficiency and reduce manual processing time.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and maintain the confidentiality and security of employee information during digitization efforts.
  • Collaborate with IT and HR leadership to continuously improve digital workflows and ensure system functionality.
  • Map and document key HR processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop standardized workflows for HR operations, ensuring consistency and clarity across all HR activities.
  • Regularly review and update process maps to reflect changes in policy or system upgrades.

Talent Management

  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Identify high-potential employees and work with leadership to create career development opportunities

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for addressing employee concerns, offering informed guidance and support in navigating workplace issues.
  • Address and promptly respond to employee inquiries regarding company policies, procedures and workplace related concerns.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of labour legislation, ensuring that all responses and guidance align with legal requirements and best practices in the jurisdiction.

Intranet Development

  • Assist in developing the company intranet, ensuring it is a valuable resource for employees.
  • Create and upload engaging content, such as company news, policy updates, and employee resources.
  • Work with IT and other departments to ensure the intranet is user-friendly and accessible.

Onboarding Program Development

  • Create a standardized digital onboarding program for new hires, including interactive modules and orientation materials.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure new hires receive comprehensive and consistent onboarding experiences.
  • Gather feedback from new hires to improve the onboarding process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. CHRP is an asset
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in HR, with demonstrated knowledge across key functional areas including recruitment, employee relations, performance management and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; adaptable and comfortable with change.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Excel and digital tools used for HR processes and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in HR reporting and using data to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid. Four days in office.
