About the OpportunityThis full-time position will support our Civil, Shoring & Excavation, and Energy divisions, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on HSE experience across a diverse range of large-scale infrastructure projects.
Working closely with the HSE Manager, you'll help ensure our crews have the knowledge, tools, and systems they need to work safely and meet both regulatory and internal safety standards. This role is ideal for someone who is early in their HSE career and eager to grow their skills in compliance, incident investigation, data analysis, root cause analysis, and more.

What Youll DoAs HSE Administrator, you will:
- Champion a positive safety culture across job sites in all three divisions.
- Support site supervisors in implementing and managing the Mainland HSE Program.
- Monitor HSE practices on-site to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments.
- Assist in accident, incident, and near-miss investigationsincluding root cause analysis and follow-up actions.
- Support onboarding of employees and subcontractors through safety orientations and PPE training (including respirator fit testing).
- Organize and participate in emergency response drills and Joint Health & Safety Committee activities.
- Help identify safety concerns and contribute to solutions that drive improvement.
- Manage and update safety data, documents, and compliance platforms such as ISNET, Avetta, etc.
- Travel to multiple active sites and maintain strong, professional relationships with site teams.
Were seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional whos excited to grow with us. Ideal candidates will have:
- A post-secondary certificate/diploma in health & safety, or a combination of related education and industry experience.
- Recently completed CSO certification (preferably through BCIT, Care-Institute, or Universal Health & Safety).
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within heavy civil, deep excavation/shoring, or energy construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and COR audit and compliance processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with safety platforms such as HCSS, HAMMERTECH, ISNET, or Avetta is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A valid Class 5 BC drivers license and clean driving record.
