SLCS is currently seeking a Full-Time Residential Case Worker within the Urinalysis Collection and London Reporting Centre programs. As a member across two interdisciplinary teams you will provide assessment, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and support services as needed in the role of a Residential Case Worker. You will be expected to assess program participants strengths and needs, particularly in regard to community reintegration, mental health and addiction issues, in addition to providing advocacy for individuals involved in the criminal justice system. You will liaise with other services (i.e. parole officers, clinical support, courts) to coordinate care for participants. You will be responsible for the safety and security of the participants and other staff during your shift. You will work collaboratively with other team members to complete administrative functions for the Cody and Gallagher Centers.
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring program compliance and following established procedures for facilitating urine collection of participants residing in a SLCS Community Residential Facility (CRF) or in community settings. The incumbent will focus on urine collection from participants; ensuring integrity of samples collected at the request of the referring agency and urinalysis collection chain of custody. The collector will ensure that the appropriate paperwork is completed, including the consent and authorization by participants and will maintain appropriate privacy and confidentiality of all involved.
Additionally, you will play an integral part of the assessment, case management, and discharge planning for individuals referred by Correctional Service of Canada through the London Reporting Centre Program (LRC). As the Primary Case Worker, you will be responsible to develop and implement individualized support plans for participants while supporting their reintegration into the community and collaborating with the London Parole Office. You will be responsible to network and develop partnerships to promote the program service delivery and connect program participants to their communities of choice.
The positions home base is located at both Cody Centre and Gallagher Centre; however, the incumbent will be expected to provide services within the community and travel throughout southwestern Ontario. This role would report to the Program Manager of Cody Centre.

Required Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Correctional Services or related field
- 1 year (preferred) relevant urinalysis collection experience preferably within justice, corrections, mental health and/or addictions
- Standard First Aid/CPR - Level C
- Valid G2 or G class Drivers License and a reliable vehicle
- Candidates who are proficient in both official languages of Canada will be considered an asset
