OG Members Service Coordinator
Huronia Transition Homes is non-profit organization working to end all violence against all women. We operate 5 primary programs in North Simcoe, including Operation Grow, a social enterprise located in Midland. Operation Grow is holistically designed to address poverty, food scarcity, isolation, and the impacts of violence. This innovative social enterprise combines a hydroponic vertical farm, yoga studio, commercial kitchen and retail space to provide opportunities for women who have survived violence to increase their livelihoods.
Huronia Transition Homes is currently hiring a permanent, full time (34-hrs per week), OG Members Service Coordinator. The successful candidate for this position will work primarily onsite, holding responsibility for the facilitation and delivery of programming at Operation Grow (OG). This role will work collaboratively with community stakeholders and will ensure project initiatives reflect harm reduction, intersectional feminist and anti-oppression frameworks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver, coordinate and schedule activities at Operation Grow inclusive of yoga, meditation, and partner programming
- Complete intakes and orientation for new members at Operation Grow
- Provide individualized support to OG members to set and achieve goals
- Facilitate the implementation of Sustainable Livelihoods framework tools, including the completion of asset mapping with members
- Identify and report on measurable project performance indicators and outcomes to the Program Supervisor
- Participate as team member in identifying, developing and recommending changes for ongoing improvements to program design and delivery
- Ensure all project initiatives and activities reflect an intersectional feminist framework and uphold the values and philosophy of Huronia Transition Homes
- Actively participate in staff and agency meetings
- Abide by all policies, procedures, rules and regulations of Huronia Transition Homes
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
The successful candidate must possess:
Relevant post-secondary education
A minimum of 3 5 years relevant work experience
Strong facilitation skills and experience in training and workshop delivery
Knowledge and understanding of the issues and complexities surrounding the impact of violence against women
Strong counselling and assessment skills
Knowledge of grounding techniques to support women in crisis
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
Ability to facilitate ongoing program evaluation
Strong administrative acumen
Demonstrable knowledge of intersectional feminism, anti-racism, ant-oppression, violence against women, harm reduction, food sovereignty and poverty reduction
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse staff, volunteers and clients and an understanding of marginalized and diverse communities

Starting Annual Salary: $ 54,9991.88
