We are seeking a full-time Structural Design Engineer with experience in wood or concrete design to join our dynamic Vancouver-based team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Principals, receiving direct mentorship to quickly build hands-on experience in leading and delivering high-quality projects. This role also offers the opportunity to develop and explore innovative structural design ideas.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Architects and contractors to develop elegant structural solutions.
Develop and sketch preliminary structural schematic designs.
Prepare detailed structural designs for building components and perform design engineering calculations.
Work with internal technical teams to enhance design processes, tools, and standards.
Review shop drawings, conduct site visits, and produce detailed reports.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient in Canadian Building & Material Design Standards (Wood or Concrete).
Experience working with multiple materials is an asset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Interest in organization and planning, with a desire to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Required Training & Experience
Undergraduate Degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Structural Engineering
At least 3 years of focused experience in wood or concrete design.
Registered as a professional engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists of BC.
