The Opportunity:
This role will require working very closely with the Nextgen Data and Process Teams, Canadian Finance and Operations Teams in reviewing and approving rules for conversion, manual construction, mapping etc. This role requires to lead and work collaboratively with multiple teams and has the accountability of the accuracy and completeness of Canada data migrated to SAP.
Responsibilities:
- Accountability of the accuracy and completeness of Canada data migrated to SAP.
- Validates profiling rules and data quality standards.
- Supports testing team with validation of data prepared for test cycles.
- Makes decisions on data user stories (approves data functional specs and data conversion requirements).
- Oversees data cleansing activities.
- Performs, coordinates, and oversees manual data construction efforts (e.g., cost centers, profit centers, etc.)
- Provides recommendations to NextGen Data Team for data mapping and post load validations with support from Deloitte Process Team.
- Checking the status of data cleansing activities.
- Answering questions of NextGen data team on data mapping.
Other activities:
- Signoff the data deliverables to migration.
- Participate in Sprint and UAT Planning.
- Participate in Daily Stand Up.
- Attend Sprint Review.
- Provides input on Backlog requirements.
Requirements:
- Knowledge or experience across accounting and operational processes.
- Experience in data management is a plus.
- Work experience in SAP will be an asset.
- Post-Secondary in Accounting, Finance or SCM.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel - efficiently works through large complex data files.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are required for this role.
- Minimum of 5 + years of experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge on Parkland's business operations is an asset
