Ontario Line South
Our team is mobilizing its design and construction crews, with major works to commence in 2023. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
The project will strengthen Ontario's economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.
What is the project?
- A six-kilometre tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River)
- Stations:
- One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station
- Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations
- Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown.

- Provide Management with data and project analysis.
- Review contract documents, construction drawings, generate procurement list, RFIs, Change Orders, Permitting, traffic and lands information, etc. as necessary.
- Track productivity, costs, and progress on Ontario Line South.
- Liaise with and inform stakeholders, vendors, owners on project schedule.
- Review, create and present job cost reports to management.
- Provide data and input for month-end reconciliation.
- Maintain files and correspondence.
- Assist in the coordination, preparation and submission of as-built drawings and design drawings.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal departments.
- Other administrative duties as required.
- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
In particular, the project coordinator for steel structure will be responsible of the steel structure (~4000 tons):
- Follow the issuance and approval of shop drawings
- Control that the raw material is purchased and delivered as per the time schedule
- Perform regular factory visit and issue reports
- Review the progress report from the supplier
- Control the compliance of the manufacturing with the time schedule
- Check the quality compliance, is involved in each steps of the Inspections & Test Plans
- Graduate from a relevant program, such as Civil Engineering/ Technologist / Construction Management.
- Must have experience in steel structure manufacturing
- Experience in the construction industry, engineering or transportation
- Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
- Sound computer skills – MS Excel / Lotus, MS Word, MS Project.
- Strong communication skills – oral and written.
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with others as a team.
