What Youll Do:

As a Junior Environmental Scientist, your day-to-day tasks will focus on supporting senior staff in the execution of various scopes related to the environmental management of our oil & gas clients, with a focus on technical report preparation. However, the position is career oriented and will offer mentorship by an experienced professional, allowing for experience and growth to be developed in a variety of areas in the environmental consulting industry. Your key responsibilities will include:

Support senior staff with the execution of environmental tasks.

Environmental file review and project/progress tracking

Prepare technical reports (i.e. Phase I & Phase II reports, Remediation Progress Reports & Memos) and reclamation applications for submission to clients and regulating authorities.

Conduct field work related to client monitoring, remediation and reclamation programs.

Create site diagrams, maps and borehole logs using specified computer software and programs

Participate in assessing and ongoing improvement of company policies, procedures and field practices.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and SOPs

Qualifications:

Possess a Bachelor or advanced degree in Sciences, Geoscience, Environmental Science or other related fields of study from a recognized university.

Be self-motivated and detail orientated with strong communication, documentation and technical writing skills.

Be willing to travel and work flexible hours as required.

Be willing to learn, participate and play a key role in all aspects of environmental consulting as required.

Be willing to learn computer modeling software used in the preparation of client reports.

Be willing to work as a team in order to accomplish set goals.
