Position Description:

Today we are seeking multiple dedicated and experienced Site Superintendents to join our team for the development of multi-residential apartment buildings in Ottawa. In addition to the duties typically expected of a Site Superintendent, as the successful incumbent you will be responsible to:

  • Manage and oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager, highlighting any issues or delays and proposing solutions.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards and project specifications.
  • Manage and resolve any on-site conflicts or issues that may arise during construction.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with local building codes, regulations, and zoning laws.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Foster a positive working environment and build strong relationships with all project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in multi-rise residential construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
