Position Summary
As a Principal Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading
architectural initiatives, providing strategic direction, and shaping
the technological landscape of our organization. Leveraging your
extensive expertise in architecture and design principles, you will
drive innovation, solve complex problems, and ensure the
successful delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with business
objectives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise,
strategic thinking, and leadership skills to ensure our platform is
scalable, maintainable, and secure. Establish and maintain
governance processes to ensure adherence to architectural
principles, standards, and policies across projects and initiatives.
Lastly, your role will extend beyond individual contributions; you'll
offer mentorship and guidance to Tech and Data teams, nurturing
a culture underscored by continuous learning and innovation.
Main Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership in defining the organization's architectural
vision, principles, and roadmap.
Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and secure
solutions that meet business requirements.
Working with Product Manager, Product Owner and Software engineering
teams to elaborate product requirements into technical requirements which
are used to develop stories that can be estimated accurately.
Mentor and coach development teams, providing technical expertise,
guidance, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
One who has expertise in designing and managing data architecture,
including data models, databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
They should have experience in data modeling, data governance, data
security, and data integration, as well as a strong understanding of emerging
trends in big data and analytics.
Relevant certifications in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
and technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft
Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to
align technical solutions with business needs.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, Information
Technology, or a related field. A masters degree
or higher may be preferred for more senior positions.
10+ years of experience in a combination of enterprise, software,
application, and data architecture roles within
various industries or domains.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with various programming
languages, software development methodologies, and tools are essential.
This includes proficiency in areas such as system design, database
management, cloud computing, distributed systems, and
cybersecurity.
Understanding of how network architecture plays a role in technical
architecture.
Experience working on solutions for third-party logistics providers
Experience configuring, working with and maintaining Azure, AWS or GCP
environments.
Experience working with MACH (Microservices-based, API first, Cloud
native SaaS, and Headless) companies.
Proficiency in architectural modeling tools and techniques, such as UML,
ArchiMate, BPMN, ERD, and others.
Business acumen and understanding of industry trends, market dynamics,
and competitive landscapes to drive architectural innovation and business
value.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development,
including staying updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and
best practices in architecture and related fields.
