CWD is looking for a Sourcing Coordinator 1-Year Contract to join our exceptionally talented and collaborative team! Reporting to the Research & Development Manager at our Niagara Falls location, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and evaluating consumer electronic products to support the company's product assortment and strategic objectives. This role plays a key part in negotiating with suppliers, maintaining vendor relationships, and monitoring product quality, while supporting inventory and procurement processes through detailed market research and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend new products from both existing and prospective suppliers.
  • Secure favorable pricing, payment terms, warranty agreements, and delivery timelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure access to competitive pricing and quality products.
  • Conduct market research, analyze competitor products, and monitor consumer trends to inform sourcing decisions and identify new opportunities or risks.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained while avoiding overstock and minimizing storage costs.
  • Evaluate supplier samples and ensure all sourced products meet the company's quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Follow established purchasing guidelines and ensure all sourcing decisions align with budget targets and company policies.
  • Compile and present product, supplier, and sourcing data to support strategic planning and performance evaluation.
  • Provide accurate and detailed product information to Inventory Analysts for smooth SKU creation and purchase order processing.
  • Conduct thorough background checks and documentation reviews to ensure supplier reliability and compliance.

Qualifications:
  • College diploma or university degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain roles, preferably in consumer electronics.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of global sourcing practices and international vendor management is an asset.

This is a fixed-term full-time 1-year contract role working 40 hours a week on-site. Our hours of operation are 8:15am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
