The Role

The Project Manager will oversee all phases of project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. The Project Manager will be instrumental in developing our team and implementing safe, accurate and efficient survey operations that drive quality excellence. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to lead project teams, build client trust, and ensure efficient resource utilization across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end project execution, ensuring scope, budget, and schedule are met.
Set measurable goals and hold teams accountable for results.
Oversee survey-specific methodologies, procedures, and workflows to ensure consistency in operations.
Proactively manage internal resources, field logistics, and stakeholder communication.
Coordinate with field supervision to manage on-site activities and execution.
Enforce strict adherence to project deliverable timelines.
Forecast and coordinate the mobilization of labour, equipment, and materials to support project schedules.
Monitor project costs, productivity, and performance metrics.
Drive safety, quality, and operational excellence across all assigned projects.
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, systems, and service delivery standards.
Lead change management efforts and ensure proper communication at the field level.
Maintain client relationships through clear, professional communication and responsiveness.
Support and mentor field staff while promoting Apexs core values and leadership culture.

Skills & Qualifications


Minimum 7 years of industry experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or project management role.
Diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Geomatics Technology, or equivalent experience.
Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE) certificate required.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
Proficiency in Civil 3D and Trimble Business Centre considered an asset.
Proven track record in construction surveying for civil, structural and mechanical scopes.
Demonstrated ability to manage teams and build strong client relationships.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
