We are currently looking for a full-time, seasonal Delivery Driver to join our team starting May 1. Reporting to Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for picking up construction materials from our suppliers and transporting materials to and from job sites around Nova Scotia in a safe and appropriate manner. This position would be driving a pick-up truck with a trailer attached so having your trailer endorsement (condition 15) is strongly preferred.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract, trailer endorsement (condition 15) strongly preferred.
• Ability to operate vehicle in a safe manner in all weather conditions.
• Comfortable driving to job sites all throughout Nova Scotia.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor when required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be reliable and punctual.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate truck in a safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, in the yard area, and at the various job sites to deliver materials.
• Ensure delivery routes are completed in a timely and safe manner.
• Loading and unloading construction materials at designated locations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and inventory counts.
  
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Ensure the vehicle is maintained in good working condition, performing routine checks and reporting any issues.
• Other duties as required.
