Responsibilities
- Responsible for fostering a safe and efficient work environment, while maintaining an open door policy.
- A strong presence in the Surveillance Room is vital for the management of people and interaction with internal customers. Delivering exceptional customer service is crucial.
- Must maintain awareness of the gaming operation at all times. Plan, organize, and direct the overall operation of the shift by delegating duties, briefing/monitoring of employees, and overseeing occurrences as they develop.
- Responsible for assisting with, training, recognition, and development of staff members.
- Balance multiple responsibilities in operational demands and employee engagement.
- Strong organizational skills that will allow for balancing multiple responsibilities in operational demands and employee engagement.
- Adhere to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and other applicable municipal, provincial, and federal laws and regulations.
- Responsible for providing routine Surveillance of the gaming floor identifying potential problems, such as poor game protection, suspicious individuals, and acting as a support unit to other departments in relation to the protection of company assets.
- Able to pay attention to detail and sound observational skills are critical as you are conducting reviews, writing and completing reports and logs that could be used as evidence in legal matters that have resulted from criminal charges against patrons or employees.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
- A post-secondary education or comparable working experience in related fields with strength in gaming/surveillance areas.
- Supervisory experience in the related field of one (1) or more years.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and managerial skills.
- Working knowledge of computer software packages.
- A proficient knowledge of Internal Control Manual and AGCO Departmental Manual.
- The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
- Good attendance record.
SKILLS
- Strong analytical, organizational, and managerial skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Extreme confidentiality.
- Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
- Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
- Manage multiple tasks concurrently in a changing environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk distances.
- Working in a small space, away from the main casino floor.
- The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. Specific vision ability required by this job include close, distance, colour, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.

- The employee must frequently lift/push/pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
