Your Role Includes

  • Reviewing and stamping mechanical projects of all complexities and sizes
  • Directing design strategies and concepts on complex projects
  • Leading audits, feasibility assessments, and investigations, and writing corresponding reports
  • Conducting site visits and troubleshooting construction issues; collaborating on solutions
  • Mentoring intermediate and junior-level engineers and designers
  • Supporting the continuous development of mechanical design standards and practices

What You will Bring to the Team

  • Design experience with central plant systems, including hot water, steam, and chilled water systems
  • Significant exposure to DDC control systems, including writing sequences of operations, specifications, and troubleshooting on-site control issues
  • Extensive knowledge of codes and standards, including OBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and ASPE standards
  • Design experience across multiple industries, including commercial, industrial, educational, multi-unit residential, healthcare, and government
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to organize, multitask, and work well under deadlines
  • A collaborative mindset and a willingness to share ideas with a track record of sound judgment and decision-making
  • Professional engineering license in Ontario with at least 5 years of Canadian experience.
