Job Overview:

J Dass Developments is seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks at construction sites, residential properties, and commercial properties. The Handyman will play a crucial role in ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards, contributing to the overall success of JDass's properties & projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Maintenance & Repairs:

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and minor construction.

  • Fix leaks, doors, windows, fences, and gates.

  • Repair flooring, tiles, cabinetry, and furniture as required.

• Construction Assistance:

  • Assist with various construction and building tasks such as framing, installing fixtures, assembling furniture, and basic demolition.

  • Support tradespeople and contractors on-site with setup, cleanup, and tool management.

• Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure that all tasks are completed in compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Use tools and equipment safely and maintain them properly.

• Tool & Equipment Maintenance:

  • Regularly inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.

  • Report any damaged or unsafe tools to management for repair or replacement.

• Customer Service & Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with clients and site managers regarding job requirements, progress, and any issues.

  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with property owners and tenants.

  • Ensure that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  • Keep accurate records of tasks completed, materials used, and any issues encountered.

  • Provide regular updates to the site supervisor or operations manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role, with strong knowledge of basic construction and repair skills.

• Familiarity with a variety of tools and equipment used in construction and maintenance work.

• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and work in different weather conditions.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional trade certifications or training is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on construction sites or in a similar fast-paced environment.

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

• First Aid and CPR certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more) and perform manual labor.

• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Stamina to stand, bend, squat, kneel, and climb for extended periods of time
