Adult Front Line Support Worker
Friendship Lodge - Supportive Housing
(Permanent Part-Time - $22.08/hr.)
Friendship Lodge has 30 units of co-ed supported housing, which addresses the needs of adults who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. Friendship Lodge assists individuals with mental illnesses and/or physical disabilities and/or those with drug and alcohol addictions with the help they require to transition to self-reliance and independence.
Do you have at least 2-years post-secondary education in a related field, or combination of education and experience working with adults who are experiencing homelessness? Along with First Aid, Suicide Intervention and TCI (or willing to obtain) and have the ability to work with men who are disadvantaged and who are from diverse backgrounds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12
- Certification: First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (NVCI, CPI) Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe; or the willingness to obtain after hire
- Valid Driver's License and a Class 4 is an asset
- Basic computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of the traditional territory Indigenous culture
- Must clear criminal record check
- Knowledge of Trauma -Informed Practices
- Be available to work all shifts in 24-hour facility
