Junior Draftsperson AutoCAD - Roofing

We are a specialized team of estimators providing detailed and accurate material estimates to roofing contractors across Canada. With a strong focus on commercial flat roofing, we work on projects ranging from small-scale residential to large-scale commercial developments valued up to $100 million.

Position Overview:
Were seeking a Junior Draftsperson with a background in Architecture or Civil Engineering to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience in roofing estimation, drafting, and AutoCAD-based project work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed roof plans and material takeoffs using AutoCAD

• Interpret architectural and structural drawings for estimating purposes

• Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for roofing materials

• Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure project deadlines are met

• Maintain organized and clear documentation for all project files

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field

• 1-3 years of experience in drafting or construction estimating (roofing experience an asset)

• Proficiency in AutoCAD

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Project Scope:

• 90% Commercial Flat Roofing

• 10% Residential (primarily condos)

• Estimation values range from $100 to $100,000,000
