Job description

The Kitchen Hood Installer is a full-time position and is responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks:

Primary Accountabilities:
Installation, service and repair of various types of pre-engineered fire suppression systems (Wet and Dry chemical mostly)
Participate in the on-call rotation
Perform semi-annual inspections of fire systems as required

Skills and Attributes:
Good interpersonal skills with staff and customers, maintain a positive, friendly attitude
Efficient and comfortable with technology and software applications
Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely
Ability to take direction and constructive criticism to learn and improve skillset
Ability to work independently or as part of a crew.
Comfortable working on busy construction sites

Qualifications:
Valid G class drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
Past fire suppression systems experience ideal but willing to train
Pipe threading experience an asset
Working knowledge of Fire & Life Safety Codes, Standards and Fire System knowledge would be considered an asset
Availability to work occasional night shifts and work out of town when required
Strong mechanical Aptitude
