We are looking for a Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team!

The Medical Assistant will provide support to RAAM management and clinical team, whose focus is carrying out administrative tasks that impact daily operations including front desk reception duties. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing general office duties, including participating on organizational committees and providing project support.

Status: Contract full-time, 37.5 hours per week, until February 2026 - Note, this posting is for an active vacancy.


Salary: $42,930.00 - $49,825.84 annually. (Candidate qualifications will be considered when determining the starting salary)


Location:This position is based out of our 60 West office. Although we operate within a hybrid workplace model, staff are required to have on-site and/or community presence as per program and client needs.

What You Will Do

  • Facilitates any immediate requests and coordination such as receiving deliveries and engaging with vendors/service providers.
  • Engages with clients to collect client feedback.
  • Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, replenishing supplies, ordering supplies as needed, verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Acts as a liaison between the Program Manager and staff to ensure appropriate coordination and follow-up on day-to-day needs.
  • Where applicable, manages and maintains the Managers and teams work schedule, including scheduling shifts for the 24/7 programs
  • Manages and maintains confidential information.
  • Manages and maintains the schedules of the physicians, consultants and the managers by planning and scheduling meetings, client meetings, and trainings; using MS-Outlook Calendar to its fullest capacity.
  • Coordinate Physician/ Consulting billing (OHIP billing)
  • Maintains electronic filing system as needed. Enter and update client data and pull data reports for program managers and funders as required.
  • Creates, revises, and improves systems and procedures by reviewing operating practices, record keeping systems and forms; Implements changes as approved by Manager.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities including special project support, as assigned by the Manager.

What You Need to Join Our Team:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Business/Office Administration - Health Services is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of related medical administrative support experience
  • Prior experiencing managing client or health records and filing systems is preferred
  • Previous experience with OHIP billing is preferred
  • Lab certification and/or procedure training is considered an asset.
  • Superior knowledge and understanding of administrative role supporting clients, management and physicians
  • Expertise with database reports
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to approach, listen, build trust, and communicate across diverse cultures and intersectionality. Willingness to continually improve understanding around cultural competence.
  • Openness to operate from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and intersectional framework.
  • Willingness to learn and apply practical understanding of different elements of diversity, such as gender identity/expression, race/cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, disability, immigration and precarious status, family status, etc.
  • Fluency in a second language, including ASL (American Sign Language) is considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel within and around Peel Region and Dufferin County.
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report.
