Control Systems Technician Engineering Department

Company: Global Chemical Manufacturing

Location: Medicine Hat, AB

Maintain and troubleshoot ICS: DCS (Yokogawa), SIS, BMS, PLCs (AB/Schneider), vibration, speed controls, overspeed protection, alarm systems, historians, cybersecurity, advanced process control functions

Hands-on instrumentation or control systems field experience preference for those who moved from instrumentation into controls

Function block programming experience Yokogawa preferred (Delta V, Honeywell, ABB also valued)

PLC experience with Allen Bradley and/or Schneider Electric highly regarded

Comfortable working with pneumatic control valves, motor control systems, and basic electronics

5+ years of strong troubleshooting experience in an industrial plant environment (chemical, O&G, etc.)

Field > Design preference seeking hands-on techs, not design engineers

Collaborate with Engineering, Ops, and Maintenance to optimize performance and reliability

Support ICS lifecycle: commissioning, patching, upgrades, and obsolescence planning

Instrumentation background preferred; cybersecurity awareness required (can train if needed)

Ideal Fit:
