Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist to join our team at Myant. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in inventory management, including configuring and optimizing inventory management systems from scratch. Additionally, this role requires expertise in managing external fulfillment centers, as well as proficiency in cost accounting to track and report real-time logistics costs.

The Logistics Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of products, while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control, ensuring optimal stock levels, accuracy, and the implementation of efficient tracking systems. Design and configure an inventory management system from scratch, ensuring that it integrates well with other internal systems.
  • External Fulfillment Center Management: Develop and maintain relationships with external fulfillment centers. Manage the logistics process of outsourcing product storage, packing, and shipping, ensuring timely and cost-effective order fulfillment. Evaluate and optimize the performance of fulfillment partners.
  • Cost Accounting and Reporting: Proficiently track and report all logistics-related costs, including shipping, storage, handling, and inventory management. Provide real-time updates to senior management regarding logistics expenditures and overall financial performance.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate reporting of logistics costs and related KPIs.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve logistics and inventory management processes to drive efficiency and reduce operational costs. Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies for system enhancements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all logistics processes comply with regulatory requirements, particularly as they relate to the medical device industry. This includes maintaining proper documentation, certifications, and safety protocols.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including procurement, production, quality assurance, and customer service, to ensure efficient and effective product movement across the supply chain.
  • System Configuration and Integration: Take the lead on configuring and optimizing the inventory management software, ensuring it meets the companys specific needs. Work with IT and external vendors to ensure smooth integration with other enterprise systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, inventory management, and/or supply chain operations, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Proven experience in configuring and implementing an inventory management system from scratch.
  • Significant experience managing external fulfillment centers and optimizing third-party logistics partnerships.
  • Proficiency in cost accounting and tracking logistics costs, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of medical device industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other logistics-related ERP software Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience with implementing and managing an ERP, (experience with PLEX would be a bonus)
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in cost-benefit analysis and performance optimization.
