POSITION SUMMARY

This role plays a key part in ensuring the successful support of production BIS (Build-In-Station) and on-time deliveries by leading and managing SWAT issues across production, engineering, purchasing, and CPM teams. The primary objective is to prioritize and address only those issues that meet the SWAT criteria, with a focus on resolving them within established resolution timelines. SWAT Coordinators ensure that engineering actions align with all required disposition and cut-in procedures, while also ensuring compliance with engineering process standards. SWAT Leads are responsible for providing daily updates on SWAT issues to Manufacturing Engineering and Production leadership, along with weekly progress reports to Engineering leadership.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Review incoming SWAT issues to ensure information presented is correct and issue meets SWAT definition and process requirements
  • Ensure SWAT issues are updated periodically and ensure all information is complete prior to closing SWATs
  • Lead and participate in daily meetings with production units to provide updates on issues and collaborate on resolution of issues
  • Use e-Planner to create and manage tasks for design groups to resolve SWAT issues
  • Facilitate communication between engineering and cross functional teams to resolve issues when needed
  • Approve ECNs and ECOs as required, ensuring all Engineering process requirement are met and that solutions appropriately address production concerns and are cut in appropriately. Provide appropriate feedback to process performers when requirements are not met.
  • Utilize Advance Print Process to order rush parts ahead of normal ECN release/Oracle demand process
  • Provide advance prints of engineering drawings to production as required
  • Provide additional containment/implementation support of issues as required
  • Periodically review and prepare data pertinent to process performance for analysis in Power BI

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • 7 years in related field/job function
  • Ability to be a clear and concise communicator both written and orally
  • Proven ability to lead teams
  • Proficiency in managing cross-functional projects
