Position Summary: The Project Engineer is responsible for successfully executing and leading a variety of IT projects for our clients. This role offers an opportunity to showcase technical expertise in server management, cloud migration, network configuration, VOIP and much more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute IT Projects: Responsible for planning, managing, and executing IT projects, often independently. This includes server upgrades, VM migrations, and network configurations and more.
- Client-Centric Solutions: Lead and collaborate on designing custom IT solutions that satisfy client-specific needs, including VOIP telephony solutions built on the 3CX platform.
- Cloud Management: Independently manage and migrate files and directories to cloud platforms like Azure AD, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Network Management: Install, configure, and maintain wireless access points, switches, routers, and other network components.
- Provide Technical Support:Work with other team members to provide technical support, ensuring client satisfaction.
- VOIP Telephony: Lead the installation and configuration of VOIP telephony solutions built on the 3CX platform.
- Documentation and Reporting:Create and maintain project documentation, report progress, and challenges to the Project Coordinator.
- Working closely with the Project Manager for scheduling, stakeholder communication, and project updates & reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in IT projects, including experience with VOIP telephony solutions, particularly on the 3CX platform.
- Experience with migrating from file shares to SharePoint.
- Experience configuring firewalls and switches and wireless access points including deployment or migrations.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows server operations, VMware, Azure AD, and network configurations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead projects with minimal guidance.
