Your mission should you choose to accept it.
As an IT Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-oiled running of both our internal IT stack and surrounding infrastructures. This will involve research, analysis, design, and planning, as well as teamwork and collaboration, to achieve the smooth continuity of the ScalePad landscape. This is a unique opportunity to participate in every aspect of Internal IT. You will have the guidance to learn, optimize, advance, and grow every quarter.
Responsibilities.
- Endpoint management:
- Hands-on experience with Jamf
- Strong background in managing Mac devices in a corporate environment
- Mobile device management and Endpoint Protection (antivirus) Management
- Provide hands-on support for end-user hardware, including troubleshooting and maintaining Mac devices, with a strong focus on macOS performance, configuration, and system updates.
- Automation & scripting:
- Interest or experience in automating repetitive tasks or support workflows
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash or Python is a plus, but not required
- Identity & access management:
- Understanding of user lifecycle management and general access control best practices
- Experience administering Google Workspace (or similar)
- Access and credentials management to ensure the secure running of ScalePad and its many product lines.
- Create and maintain all documentation pertaining to Internal IT
- Application management:
- Able to assist with provisioning, license tracking, and general admin duties
- Familiar with supporting and managing commonly used SaaS tools (Zoom, Google Workspace, Slack, 1Password, etc.)
- General maintenance for all SaaS apps and systems
- Security mindset:
- Awareness of basic endpoint security and good security hygiene
- Experience working within a SOC 2-compliant environment is a plus.
- Participate in educational opportunities to keep your fellow Rocketeers informed about all things security and Internal IT.
- Networking Fundamentals
- Able to troubleshoot basic network issues (VPN, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi)
- Familiarize yourself with our technology and infrastructure stack and the different approaches to maintaining it.
Qualifications.
- 2+ years of IT support experience
- 2+ years of supporting and administering a macOS environment
- Experience with MDM solutions, particularly Jamf.
- Hands-on experience with Atlassian products like Jira and Confluence, and competence in Google Workspace Administration
- You are a continuous learner and problem solver, you love sharing ideas, and tackling problems.
- You are a proactive and self-motivated individual who demonstrates a keen sense of initiative, excels as a self-starter and possesses the ability to anticipate and proactively address challenges.
- You are committed and take pride in delivering high-quality results efficiently.
- Passionate about team success and achieving operational excellence
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including strong customer service, empathy, and openness to feedback. Comfortable and adept at public speaking and presenting to large groups.
- Bonus: Knowledge of MSP and SaaS industries, proficiency in monitoring tools like Grafana or Prometheus, skilled in bash scripting and experience with automation solutions
