Senior Project Manager Water & Wastewater Construction

Overview:

A well-established general contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager with specialized experience in water and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) construction. This is a leadership role based in Ottawa, managing large-scale municipal infrastructure projects with a strong civil component.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from start to finish
• Coordinate all construction activities including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and logistics
• Work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Oversee job site safety, quality control, and compliance with project specifications
• Conduct regular site visits (12 days/week); remainder of work based in the Ottawa office
• Ensure proper sequencing of trades and maintain project timelines

Requirements:

• 8+ years of construction experience with direct involvement in WWTP or related municipal infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within treatment facilities
• Experience managing complex civil scopes including excavation, caissons, shoring, and piling
• Familiarity with water pumping stations, control facilities, and treatment processes
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range of $100K to $130K depending on experience
