Company Description

Assent is the leading solution for supply chain sustainability tailored for the world's top-tier, sustainability-driven manufacturers. Hidden risks riddle supply chains, many of which weren't built with sustainability in mind. That's where we step in. With insights from experts, Assent is the tool manufacturers trust for comprehensive sustainability.

We are proud to announce that Assent has crossed the US$100M ARR milestone, granting us Centaur Status. This accomplishment, reached just 8 years following our Series A, makes us the first and only Certified B Corporation in North America's SaaS sustainability industry to celebrate this milestone.

Our journey from $5 million to US$100M ARR in just eight years has been marked by significant growth and achievements. With our $350 million US funding led by Vista Equity Partners, we're poised for even greater expansion and are on the lookout for outstanding team members to join our mission.

Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and curious Data Sourcing Associate to help fuel our compliance data engine. In this role, you'll track down and acquire the data we need from suppliers, manufacturers, and other sources to support our product compliance solutions. This role blends outreach, analysis, and a bit of detective work—you'll be the one who connects the dots, verifies the data, and helps drive real value for our compliance platform.
You'll be part of a collaborative and mission-driven team helping companies meet evolving product compliance regulations. Your work will directly support our customers and help shape a more transparent, responsible supply chain.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and digging into the details to make sure we have the right information to deliver value to our customers.

What You'll Do:

  • Source Product Compliance Data:
Reach out to manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors to request key compliance data, following up as needed to ensure timely responses.

  • Review and Organize Incoming Data:
Evaluate spreadsheets and other submissions to confirm whether they include the information we need, and flag any gaps or inconsistencies.

  • Identify Key Contacts:
Use research and outreach to find the right people within an organization who can provide the required data.

  • Track and Manage Requests:
Keep detailed records of data requests, responses, and outcomes to maintain visibility into sourcing progress and data coverage.

  • Collaborate Internally:
Work with teams across Product, Customer Success, and Engineering to understand what data is needed and how best to collect it.

  • Support Data Quality:
Compare sourced data against internal requirements to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

Qualifications
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in data management, product compliance, product management, or a related field, with demonstrated success in managing large datasets and forming external partnerships.
  • An education in Business, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in SQL, Python, or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to build relationships with external partners.
  • Proven expertise in process improvement and workflow optimization.
  • Familiarity with compliance data, regulatory frameworks, and supply chain management.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the aforementioned duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
