The Role

Our client, a trusted provider of industrial products and solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Administrator to support their finance team on a temporary part-time basis. You will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of payables and receivables, and supporting general accounting tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, basic accounting knowledge, and comfort working in a fast-paced office setting.

This is a part-time contract opportunity (12-17 months) ideal for someone looking to gain experience or stay active in the accounting field while maintaining flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter data into accounting systems
  • Perform Accounts Payable (AP) voucher posting
  • Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks, including cash application
  • File and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Assist the finance team with administrative and clerical support as needed
  • Ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • 12 years of experience in an accounting or administrative support role
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
