Job Description

The Operations Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within the organization. This position is responsible for conducting in-depth analyses, identifying gaps, and understanding current (AS IS) versus future (TO BE) processes. By leveraging data insights and applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, the analyst will form actionable recommendations to enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and support strategic change initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fund services or experience with a Big 4 firm, bringing a wealth of knowledge in process improvement and operational analysis. This role requires a proactive individual who can write comprehensive migration strategy documents and lead the implementation of these strategies to ensure seamless transitions and sustained improvements.

Detailed Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep dive analyses to identify operational inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Perform gap analysis to compare current processes with desired future states.
  • Analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that inform recommendations and decision-making.
  • Develop and present recommendations for process improvements and operational changes.
  • Write detailed migration strategy documents to guide the transition from current to future states.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support implementation of process changes and monitor their impact.
  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct interviews with employees and managers to gather insights and identify issues.
  • Identify and solve problems in various fields or specialized areas.
  • Examine data to determine key factors and select appropriate analytical methods.
  • Use statistical methods to analyze information and develop solutions to business problems.
  • Assess change to ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to ensure successful implementation of new initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of analyses, reports, and process improvements.

  • Strong understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
