Job Description

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager (or their designate), the Shift Lead (Solenis Receiving) will work closely with our Solenis Team, particularly Receiving, to ensure that all receiving activities meet our Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards. The Shift Lead will oversee and guide the team through daily receiving workload, including assigning tasks, providing coaching and instruction, resolving issues, and making operational decisions throughout the shift. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to foster teamwork to achieve operational goals and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize workflow, putaway strategies, and location management for the receiving team. Ensure team members have the necessary equipment and instructions to begin work at the scheduled start time. Each team member should be aware of their tasks, upcoming processes, and daily schedule.
  • Monitor and ensure team adherence to Drexel SOPs, TDG compliance, customer SLAs, and KPIs.
  • Respond to and resolve Drexel Assist tickets in a timely and professional manner.
  • Lead and support regular cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage the processing of returns.
  • Reconcile receiving exceptions and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Train and coach new employees on Drexel receiving processes and SOPs. Provide retraining as needed.
  • Make informed decisions, resolve issues, and communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Provide daily SLA and KPI updates to team members whenever possible.
  • Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements to the management team.
  • Monitor KPIs and team performance, making adjustments as necessary throughout the shift.
  • Collaborate with other Team Leads and Supervisors to allocate resources as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings focused on performance, safety, and scheduling.
  • Monitor, maintain, and organize required supplies and consumables, providing weekly reports to the Supervisor.
  • Ensure cleanliness and adherence to 6S principles within the warehouse.
  • Uphold ethical behavior and business practices, setting an example for the team.
  • Encourage innovation and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and decision-making abilities to foster teamwork and achieve results.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and positively influence a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to work independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Experience and certification in TDG is mandatory.
  • Previous receiving or inventory control experience is a must.
  • Prior experience working with Solenis and Diversey products is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with OpenDoc software and Drexel Assist is a bonus.
  • Comfortable using WMS systems and basic reporting tools including MS Excel.
