Starting base salary $86,000 - $100,000 CAD*

The DevOps Engineer will work to support software development and IT operations to develop our products in the most efficient, reliable and fast way possible. The role will focus on automating workflows, managing infrastructure, ensuring reliability and facilitating continuous integration and deployment.
What you will be doing:
- CI/CD & Automation: Design, build, and maintain continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline deployments.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Cloud & Infrastructure Management: Deploy and manage cloud environments in AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, and security.
- Monitoring & Logging: Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce security best practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, security teams, and IT operations to support development and production environments.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and optimize application and infrastructure performance.
- Incident Response & Reliability: Participate in on-call rotations, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews to improve system resilience.
What you'll bring to this role:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or cloud infrastructure roles.
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, Kubernetes, etc.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or similar tools.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or GKE).
- Scripting & Automation: Strong skills in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Go) and automation frameworks.
- Monitoring & Observability: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, or similar tools.
- Security Best Practices: Knowledge of DevSecOps principles, secrets management, and cloud security.
- Version Control: Proficiency in Git and GitOps methodologies.
- Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd, or Consul).
- Knowledge of serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault, AWS IAM, or other secrets management tools.
- Familiarity with IT compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA.
- Experience with database administration (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB).
