Starting base salary $100,000 - $120,000 CAD*

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage our cloud-based network infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of our cloud networking environment across multiple platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in cloud networking, automation, security best practices, and enterprise-scale deployments.

What you will be doing:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based network architectures in AWS, Azure.
• Optimize and secure hybrid and multi-cloud network connectivity, including VPNs, GlobalProtect, Cloudflare, and inter-region communications.
• Develop and enforce network security policies, including firewall configurations, NAC, and micro segmentation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud network performance, availability, and capacity.
• Automate network infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement network security measures such as IDS/IPS, WAFs, DDoS protection, and encryption.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for cloud networking security and architecture.
• Participate in incident response and troubleshooting activities related to network performance and security issues.
• Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to enhance cloud networking automation and resilience.
• Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures for internal teams.

What you will bring:

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Strong understanding of cloud networking services such as VPCs, VNETs, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, and Load Balancers.
• Expertise in routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.) in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Hands-on experience with network automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Deep knowledge of security principles, including Zero Trust Networking, IAM roles/policies, and network segmentation.
• Experience with monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, Azure Monitor, Datadog, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for network automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, cloud-native environment.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer are highly desirable.

• Experience working with Kubernetes networking (CNI, Service Mesh, Istio, etc.).
• Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and cloud-native SDN solutions.
• Experience in designing and managing global-scale cloud networking environments.
• Exposure to compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or SOC 2.
