LaPrairie Craneis a member ofLaPrairie Group of Companiesand is one of Canadas largest independent mobile-crane companies with fleet capabilities ranging from 5 600 tons, including all terrain, boom truck, carry deck, crawler, hydraulic truck, rough terrain, and tower cranes.
Reporting to the Senior HSE Supervisor, the HSE Administrator is responsible for a wide variety of HSE duties in support of the companys operations.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the administration various HSE systems.
- Comply with HSE Policies and promote a safe working environment.
- Support HSE / QA-QC meetings by providing updated HSE / QA-QC information for review during meetings and actively participate in meetings.
- Compile and manage HSE / QA-QC reports for the management team and/or executives.
- Maintain awareness of amendments to the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS)and Regulations and advise the management team and executives as to their new requirements.
- Be familiar with Workers Compensation Board regulations and policies and provide administrative support with WCB claim management.
- Ensure the timely completion of regular site inspection reports and accident/injury reporting.
- Compile and prepare monthly HSE reports pertaining to worksite inspections / hazard assessments / regular HSE meetings / worksite safety tailgate meetings / industry performance calculations.
- Participate in internal and external HSE audits.
- Administer and maintain WorkHub and other company HSE compliance programs.
- Administer company Competency programs.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.
- Other assignments as may be required.
Qualifications:
- Previous HSE work experience is required.
- Mid-level administrative experience.
- Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Timely and accurate data entry.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time-management capabilities.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
- Works well with little or no supervision.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Maturity and discretion when dealing with confidential information and sensitive inquiries.
- An enthusiastic, positive outlook and willingness to learn.
- Experience in writing policies and procedures is an asset.
- Experience in working with a Safety Management System is an asset.
- A HSE Admin designation is an asset.
