ABOUT US:Startec Refrigeration Service is focused on solving field refrigeration and HVAC challenges and is one of the most trusted and respected names in commercial, industrial refrigeration, and HVAC system installation and maintenance. We service cold storage, meat packing, food processing and recreational ice facilities throughout Western Canada.POSITION OVERVIEW:Startec Refrigeration Service is currently seeking 3–4 temporary Labourers for a duration of 3–4 weeks, with the possibility of extending until July.
This position will be responsible assisting our Refrigeration mechanics to install a Refrigeration system in a warehouse. QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in an industrial environment preferred.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical, alcohol, and drug test
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Good physical condition and stamina to perform manual labor and work long shifts (potentially 10–12 hours)
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of hand tools
• Able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
• Steel-toed boots are required
• AWP Certification and Fall Protection are required

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):MATERIAL HANDLING (Weighting 90%)

• Ensure proper handling, movement, and organization of materials on site.
• Assist Refrigeration Mechanics with the installation of refrigeration systems in a warehouse environment, including tasks such as laying pipe, securing components, and providing general support during the installation process.

HANDY WORK (Weighting 10%)

• Use hand tools to perform basic tasks as required to support the installation and site activities.
