Hours of Work: Full-time (35 hours per week), 8:00am - 4:00pm, possibility of evenings and weekends as needed

Job Summary: Reporting to the Wildlife and Site Manager, the Site Superintendent is responsible for the execution of all required general repairs, maintenance and upkeep of infrastructure, greenspace and wildlife habitat.

Job Duties:

  • Assist the Wildlife and Site Manager with the development of a yearly project plan for the overall site and buildings.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
  • Conduct and record monthly safety and maintenance inspections of all buildings and resolve issues.
  • Check electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems to ensure proper functionality.
  • Perform all required site general and preventative maintenance, repairs and upkeep of buildings, machinery, equipment and landscape areas.
  • Perform all required maintenance and repairs to interiors of site buildings.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, schedule and assign relevant work tasks to all weekend and seasonal staff.
  • Perform various related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience preforming outdoor manual labour in a safety and timely manner
  • Experience working with hand tools, power tools, motorized equipment
  • Class 5 license, or the ability to obtain, required
  • Proven ability to guide, monitor and lead a dynamic team
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR an asset
  • Private transportation to FWA (no bus service available)
