Peninsula Construction Inc is a leader in the road safety infrastructure sector. Established in 1980, we are committed to installing road safety products with the highest level of safety, expertise, and customer service to help create roadways in Ontario.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Yard Coordinator will support our operations department and ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe daily functioning of our yard operations. They will focus on maintaining workflow, supporting logistics, and upholding standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization.
Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Operations Manager for daily task assignments
  • Delegate tasks and provide direction to yard staff
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment
  • Submit weekly inventory reports to purchasing
  • Ensure trucks and trailers are cleaned and refueled at the end of each shift
  • Maintain and organize the truck shed with necessary equipment and supplies
  • Prepare job packages and collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to ensure completeness
  • Oversee confirmation from driver that all loads are properly secured before departure
  • Receive, count, sign off, and tag all incoming deliveries; forward packing slips to purchasing
  • Properly tag and store special order materials
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid G Driver's License
  • Forklift Certification a strong asset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the construction industry (preferred)
  • Inventory management skills considered an asset
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
