Title: Seasonal Propane Tanker AZ Driver
Pay Rate: $32/hr + Overtime after 60 hours.
Term: October – March (6 months)
Schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off (including weekends & holidays)
Type: Over-the-Road (OTR) – Will be operating sleeper berth unit.
We are seeking experienced AZ Drivers to safely transport propane to commercial customers throughout Ottawa and surrounding areas during the peak winter season. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, flexibility in scheduling, and the ability to handle long-haul routes.
Responsibilities:
• Safely operate a propane tanker, ensuring timely deliveries to customers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Logs (ELDs) and Daily Trip Reports.
• Conduct pre-trip, and post-trip inspections, reporting any issues to dispatch.
• Adhere to all company policies, government transportation regulations, and safety standards.
• Identify and report potential hazards or safety concerns while on duty.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), WHMIS, and other required safety training.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of tractor-trailer driving experience with an AZ license.
• Clean criminal record check (mandatory).
• Clean Abstract and CVOR (mandatory).
• Ability to work in a rotation of 4 days on, 4 days off, including statutory holidays.
• Comfortable with OTR work.
