We are looking to add a Shared Services Administrator to our People & Culture and Payroll teams!
Position Title:Shared Services Administrator
Reports to:Manager, People & Culture & Manager, Information Systems
Department:People & Culture & Payroll
Work Location: Hybrid, based out of the Leduc, AB office
Position Summary
The primary role of the Shared Services Administrator is to provide administrative support for a wide range of KBLs HR processes and projects. Duties may include support for compensation, recruitment and onboarding, training, and other HR & payroll related functions. The ideal candidate will have a background in Human Resources, excellent attention to detail, be strongly literate with systems including MSOffice and have an interest in a wide range of HR topics.
Duties and Responsibilities
People & Culture
- Produces employment related letters using templates, including offer letters and welcome packages as requested.
- Data entry and maintenance of the HRIS.
- Maintains the employee files and the HR shared files.
- Prepares materials, tracks completion, assists with first-day logistics.
Drafts and sends HR communications. - First point of contact for benefits & leave inquiries, assists employees with forms.
- Makes changes, as requested, to policy documents.
- Drafts and posts job postings.
- Books interviews as requested.
- Assist with the administration of various HR programs. Including recruitment, performance management, recognition and engagement.
- Helps organize and plan employee events.
- Enters certifications into the system and assigns training to employees as required.
Payroll
- Set up new employees in KBLs payroll software.
Offboard terminated employees from payroll software. - Serve as first point of contact for RRSP enquiries.
- Issue and amend ROEs as required
- Creating, running, and distributing HR and Payroll reports as needed.
Assist with year end processing of employee tax forms and WCB reporting.
Physical Requirements
- Long periodsof sitting, computer work for extended periods. You are responsible for working safely and adequately utilizing Workplace Ergonomics to avoid injury to yourself and others.
Work Environment
- There is a possibility of cuts, bruises, straining, disease and /or severe injury if safe work practices are not followed.
- Work is primarily carried out indoors, at times, there may be a requirement to go outside. Therefore, there can be exposure to extreme weather in the winter months. There can be dust, noise, mud, water, smoke, and bacteria exposure.
Qualifications
1 year of experience as a Human Resources Administrator preferred.
Post secondary education in Human Resource Management preferred.
Knowledge of the Waste Management & Environmental industry is an asset.
Ability to act with discretion and treat confidential information appropriately.
Excellent attention to detail, organization skills and ability to multi task.
Excellent computer skills in MS Office.
