We are currently seeking a Communications and Engagement Advisor to support a variety of consultation and engagement initiatives. Reporting to the Directors and working closely with project teams, youll help foster relationships with Indigenous groups and stakeholders, and create clear, engaging communication materials. What you'll do

Engagement & Consultation

Support CCEM in building and maintaining positive relationships with Indigenous groups and stakeholders.

Assist in planning, tailoring and implementing engagement and consultation projects/programs, strategies or plans for client and/or CCEM initiatives.

Identify relevant stakeholders and Indigenous groups to be included in engagement and consultation processes.

Develop innovative approaches to encourage participation and information sharing.

Supports the delivery/facilitation of engagement activities, conducted in-person or virtually leveraging digital tools such as surveys and collaborative platforms, etc.

    • Proactively identifies tools and techniques to support the continual enhancement of CCEMs approach to strategic engagement and consultation.

Take detailed notes during meetings and engagement sessions.

Maintain detailed documentation from sessions including concerns shared, attendance records, and action items for follow-up.

Assist with accurate and timely responses to stakeholders and Indigenous groups.

Analyze data and draft summary reports.

Coordinate logistics and support facilitation at consultation and engagement sessions as needed.

    • Periodicinter-provincial travel as and where required, up to 10%.
Communication & Design

Write and edit content such as briefing notes, FAQs, key messages, and backgrounders. Develop visual and written materials for engagement and consultation sessions and for inclusion in reports, plans or other documents.

Prepare visual summaries of consultation processes and survey results.

Proofread materials for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and tone.

Assist in drafting and refining presentation materials for clients and senior team members.

Support layout design and print production of reports, brochures, booth displays and other materials.

Ad-Hoc Support

Prepares and/or supports the development of client deliverables, as assigned.

Performs general administrative duties, as assigned.

A degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

23 years of directly related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in providing inclusive engagement processes and knowledge is an asset.

Completed courses in graphic design, visual communication, or human-centred design.
