Who we need

Nomis is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic Services team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and executing complex projects for our enterprise clients. You will manage detailed project plans and work closely with cross-functional teams. The types of projects youll be overseeinginclude delivery of multiple implementations, managed service or migration projects from initiation through to completion. This role requires strong understanding of technical project coordination.

What youll do

  • Project Planning: Develop and manage complex, enterprise project plans, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to follow up on actions and deliverables. Delegate and hold the team accountable for executing the work in coordination with the plan. Manage project budgets. Work in collaboration with the customer assigned project manager.
  • Technical Project Planning: Incorporate detailed technical components with the project plan that will include custom development, configuration, release and QA cycles, infrastructure dependencies, ensure technical feasibility and tasks related to the overall project plan. Ability to communicate requirements between technical and non-technical teams. Willingness to manage development tickets to completion and understand the business impact to customer deliverables. Stay informed on product roadmaps.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including consultants, modeling analysts, engineers, sales representatives, product managers, support engineers, quality assurance analysts to ensure project goals and timelines are met. Champion the customer voice, needs and requirements to internal teams.
  • Customer Communication & Reporting: Serve as main point of contact for customers. Ability to create project status (external and internal) reports with risk assessments and action plans. Facilitate customer and internal meetings and clearly articulate status, goals, deliverables and formulate solutions for issues that may arise.
  • Executive Communication: Organize project or client information fit for an executive audience through slides and be able to facilitate meetings. Build relationships with Dr /VP levels of client organizations.
  • Risk & Problem-Solving Management: Be proactive on identifying potential project risks. Ability to manage and navigate difficult conversations with clients regarding project delays, scope, expectations while focusing on mutually beneficial solutions. Seek input from management and be comfortable escalating concerns when necessary to ensure project success.
  • Process Improvement: Be able to embrace a culture of process improvement. Identify areas for improvement or efficiency and create plans as necessary.

What you bring

  • Experience: 4-6 years of project management experience in a SaaS or software development industry. Experience within Fintech, banking and or other financial services sectors is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of technical concepts and software development processes to effectively manage technical components of the project plan.
  • Tools: Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet (or similar project management software), Confluence and collaboration platforms such as Slack.
  • Strong Communication: Able to clearly communicate internally and customers at various levels of the organization and through various channels (in person, virtual and written) and organize thoughts, agenda and objectives.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Able to address and mitigate escalations and create potential solutions for solving the issues. Able to negotiate with the client or internal stakeholders to achieve desired or mutual decision.
  • Leadership: Be able to delegate to peers, take and manage to feedback. Adaptable to working in a matrixed environment. Operates with client satisfaction in mind. Results oriented and looks for ways to challenge status quo.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and deadlines.Strong organizational skills and ability to track multiple project data points.

The expected salary range for this role is $75,000 to $90,000 USD for US and $105,000 to $120,000 CAD for Canada.
