THE OPPORTUNITY

This role involves keepingthe community looking great,by doing light cleaning duties in the common areas andhelping to prepare suites duringturnover,helping the Community Leader withleasing andinteracting with existing Community Members and assisting withmove ins and move outs. There is alsobasicofficework, such as scanning, emailing,filing, workingon your Property Management softwareandgeneraladministrative tasks. A major portion of the role will be maintaining common areas, scheduling and corresponding with trades personal for Community Member maintenance requests and ensuring suites are ready to be rented.

You will be working closely with and aroundCommunity Membersso professional appearanceis necessary at all times. Some typical tasks include:

  • Maintain Highstreet's standard of appearance, upkeep, cleaning and maintenance within your community
  • Assist the Community Leader with screening of prospects and assist with leasing as required
  • Assist the Community Leader in maintaining the look and feel of the community by enforcing the community promises
  • Collecting quotes and coordinating trades on site; holding them accountable and ensuring work is completed on time
  • Helping resolve Community Member maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Filling out reportsand handing out notices as required
  • Organizing folders, files, emails, keys, paperwork, and promotional materials
  • Working with MS Office, Property Management softwareand other computer programs
  • Support event organization and Community Member engagement
  • Postingupdatesto the community Facebook group
  • Being on call during weekends and evenings on a rotational basis with your on-site colleague
  • Ability to do light repair work like patching and paint is not required but is an asset
  • Standard work week would be Tuesday to Saturday

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Strong customer service background
  • Technically savvy, and proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Good physical conditioning and stamina
  • Willingness to work outside as required
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Some knowledge of what repairs and maintenance are required on a building
  • Ability to complete general in-suite repairs and maintenance, using a variety of hand tools
  • Knowledge of theResidential TenancyAct, not required, but an asset
