The Accounts Payable administrator is accountable for performing activities necessary to continuously improve the creation and delivery of value to our customers. As a valuable member of the BD Diesel team, this position contributes to the goal of being an innovative and world class manufacturer that serves the North American diesel and gas vehicle industry. This position reports to the Corporate Controller.

This role is based in our Abbotsford location and this role is a fully onsite role.

Pay: $ 55,000 to $ 60,000/year

Job Type: Permanent Full Time , On-site

Requirements

· Verify invoice accuracy, code invoices, obtain approvals, and enter into accounting ERP system

· Handle accounts payable in a multi-entity environment

· Follow up vigorously with internal parties to ensure proper backup and approval exists prior to processing invoices

· Reconcile vendor statements of account

· Reconcile progress billing invoices to contracts

· Prepare accounts payable reports and payment proposals

· Print cheques, process electronic payment files, and wire transfers as required

· Process invoices in a multi-currency environment

· Check for accuracy on Purchase Orders and Contracts submitted to accounting

· Support the department in implementing and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures

· Assist in Accounts Receivable and other accounting duties as backup

· Participate in cross-training for coverage during team member absences

Assist with administrative filing and ad hoc duties as required

Education and Experience

· 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a corporate environment handling three-way matching of invoices, receipts, and purchase orders

· Working knowledge of accounting principles, standards (US GAAP/ASPE), and financial reporting requirements

· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., INFOR Syteline, Sage, or NetSuite) and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)

· Familiarity with manufacturing industry procedures, particularly in purchasing and inventory management

· Experience supporting audits

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

· Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
