Title: Machine Operator (Knowledge of tools)
Wage: $20.00 -22.00/hr.
Shift: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Shifts available: Monday to Friday
Location: Brampton, ON
Our customer specializes in the production and fine precision grinding of industrial bandsaws has been in business for 50 years!! A small family run business, they are looking to develop a person to become part of the family's business. Bus accessible and located near Bovaird and McLaughlin Rds., this is a full time position and ideal role for someone looking to progress into a long term career.
Job Duties:

• Must be able to pick up a case of flat metal – up to 50 lbs. | thin cases approx. 24' x 24'
• Read purchase order
• Cut to length (measure out, press pedal)
• Use of spot (butt) welder – manual process but they also have 1 automated one – taking the long blade and joining the ends
• May need to adjust settings – Training is provided
• Use of handheld or stationary grinder to grind down the weld connection
• Bend into a smaller "circle" and tie

Job Requirements:
• Strong command of the English language both spoken and written required.
• Previous experience with tools within an industrial setting
• Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. - flat boxes of metal coil
