Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the incumbent receives different types of metals, performs an initial classification, and directs them to the appropriate locations.
You will be responsible for:
Greeting customers courteously, following our procedures and requirements
Assisting in unloading materials
Sorting various metals according to their characteristics
Inspecting customer metals
Identifying the correct type of metal for each product and validating its quality
Weighing metals on the scale
Entering data into the RECY software
Operating various types of machinery (forklift)
Preparing receiving/shipping tickets
Ensuring cleanliness of the premises
Performing any other related tasks
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a similar role
Knowledge of metal recycling (major asset)
Forklift experience (major asset); training provided on-site
Bilingual (an asset)
Demonstrates professional and safety-conscious behavior
Versatile and resourceful
Team player
Strong ability to manage priorities
Provides excellent customer service
