Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within an organization. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, ensuring resource allocation, and maintaining communication with key stakeholders. The Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Project Director support execution and delivery of projects.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and budget. Ensure smooth execution of projects by coordinating and overseeing all aspects from initiation to completion.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring accountability.
  • Identify potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and resolve issues to avoid project delays or budget overruns.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, changes, risks, and challenges. Ensure expectations are managed and align with organizational goals.
  • Manage the project budget, monitor expenses, and ensure that resources are allocated effectively. Report on financial performance and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, meeting notes, and status reports. Provide timely updates to project sponsors and leadership
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required standards of quality and align with the project objectives.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met. Address any delays and rework schedules as necessary to meet project goals.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment by complying with all safety codes, guidelines, and regulations
  • Participate in all assigned Health and Safety training programs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role managing large, complex projects. Experience across multiple industries is a plus.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certifications required. Additional certifications in leadership or specific project methodologies are highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
  • Experienced with project management and has worked in or understands the consulting engineering environment.

  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a track record of managing diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically, aligning project objectives with broader organizational goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure project success.
  • Strong understanding of financial management within project contexts, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
